Bodies Bodies Bodies (2022) is an American dark comedy slasher film released in August by A24. With hurricane Ian barreling across Florida, we found this to be a fitting film to watch. Our subject took a break from her own hurricane prep to be heart monitored while viewing this modern thriller.
SYNOPSIS:

ANALYSIS:
Bodies Bodies Bodies begins with a hip soundtrack, sexual energy and mediocre acting. The first twenty minutes is a mix of mildly funny to slightly annoying characters who failed to produce heart felt laughs. Our subject struggled to empathize with the actors. Once the suspenseful game began, however, her levels started to increase. An 81bpm spike occurred at 34:00 after the girls got slap happy. A power outage plunged the film into darkness which created and sustained high levels of tension as the characters wandered the house. Each body uncovered brought another high spike. Our subject’s peak heart rate was created by a slow building suspenseful scene which crawled to an impressive 88bpm. Unfortunately there were several slow moments that completely removed our subject from the film.
CONCLUSION:
Bodies Bodies Bodies(2022) is a slightly stressful thriller with a couple of jump scares but the lack of empathy for the cast of characters prevented the heart from pounding. Share on X The film is tagged as a horror comedy but our subject was not amused. And even though there was a decent amount of tension and gore, she left the hurricane party unimpressed.
