We’re celebrating St. Patrick’s day by going green… or going to Greenland. This apocalyptic thriller came highly recommended by Derek (@horrorjunkie103178), a member of the Instagram horror community and respected horror aficionado. He was certain our latest subject would have a hard time staying calm during this supposedly chaotic film.
SYNOPSIS: A family struggles for survival in the face of a cataclysmic natural disaster.

ANALYSIS:
What starts out as your typical family drama quickly escalates into a frenetically paced thriller. Hints of impending doom festered under the normalcy of everyday life. At the opening of the film, our subject’s resting heart rate was at an abnormally low 59bpm. But a quiet unease began to boil. She identified with the main characters and grew attached to their relationship. This setup resulted in extremely high heart rate levels once the chaos began to unfold. At 55:00, a scene dealing with a mother’s worst fear produced an enormous peak of 104bpm. Through the middle build of the movie, there were only brief moments where our subject could take a breath. Luckily for her, the action slowed by the 1:20 mark allowing her body a chance to relax.
CONCLUSION:
Greenland is a heart breaking race for survival that's capable of producing extremely high levels of anxiety. Share on X The film tapped into fears of losing family, the apocalypse, and the ever present evil of human nature. Even the unbelievable circumstances could not stop the heart from rising.
