ANALYSIS:

An intense battle opened the film and had no trouble escalating our subject’s heart rate. But over-the-top special effects began to demystify the terror happening on screen. A couple of jump scares between an intriguing backstory helped boost her numbers, but again, the evil moments died off too quickly to build true tension. On a positive note, our subject didn’t go longer than five minutes without being mildly affected by more attempts to conjure up scares. Just past the thirty minute mark, we recorded her peak heart rate of 84bpm when a terrifying incident sprung up unexpectedly. Unfortunately, the film transformed into a compelling mystery which kept her heart rate from reaching high levels. A few creepy scenes during the finale provided spikes above 80bpm and the audio under the credits left her unable to relax.
