Strapped to a heart monitor, we will record her vitals as she witnesses the mayhem of this bizarre horror film.

SYNOPSIS:
A quiet drifter is tricked into a janitorial job at the now condemned Willy’s Wonderland. The mundane tasks suddenly become an all-out fight for survival against wave after wave of demonic animatronics. Fists fly, kicks land, titans clash — and only one side will make it out alive.

ANALYSIS:
After waiting patiently through several production logos our subject’s heart rate came to rest at 63bpm as her starting average. Early on, a couple of loud sound effects jolted her but did little to register on the monitor. At this point we wondered if the film could reach heart racing levels. 18:00. Enter Willy’s Wonderland. A run-down Chuck-E-Cheese like venue with a cast of creepy characters ready to scare. In fact, each freakish animal came with its own suspenseful lead-in. These brief but effective build ups had our subject’s pulse pounding before the fights even began. At one point our subject mentioned she didn’t know whether to laugh or be terrified. This uncomfortable chaos culminated with an impressive 91bpm peak during a thrilling knight fight. Not bad for a silly puppet movie.
CONCLUSION:
Willy’s Wonderland is a gloriously gory battle film that raised our subject’s heart rate a bit higher with each oil spill. Thin on plot but big on badass, this puppet horror provided a few unexpected spikes. Even with the slower moments, the nightmarish creatures were able to deliver enough creepy looks to keep us on edge. But it was the intense fights that truly energized our monitor. After thinking this movie was a joke, we quickly realized these delightful deranged animatronics had heart racing potential.
